Reston, VA -- (September 5, 2007) -- DullesOpen.com, a unit of Dulles Research LLC, has entered into an alliance agreement with IBM Corporation which enables IBM Global Business Services to distribute DullesOpen.com’s Carolina product as a component of its Analytical Model Conversion Solution (AMCS).
The Carolina product is a compiler for Base SAS®. A majority of the world’s business-to-consumer (B2C) organizations utilize SAS® today, using the historical SAS® operating environment, to allocate marketing and financial resources. The Carolina product parses SAS® code and generates the functionally equivalent Java code, which may be then run in any Java Runtime Environment version 5.x or later. DullesOpen.com has developed the industry’s first commercially available utility that parses SAS® and generates a SAS®-compatible syntax tree.
As a component of the IBM Analytical Model Conversion Solution (AMCS), Carolina, allows organizations to transform their SAS model deployment process, and exploit proprietary IBM and DullesOpen.com technology to improve speed, maintainability, and integration attributes in a mission critical corporate function. The AMCS is fully integrated with IBM’s DB2 data management solutions, leveraging the power of the database to maximize the performance and ease of deployment of operational models.
The AMCS and Carolina allow these organizations to transition deployment of models originally developed in SAS®, to UDB, Java, and a J2EE/web services architecture, and dramatically improve the economics and performance of that deployment. In instances where corporations manually convert their SAS models, the AMCS automates the conversion, reducing time from weeks or months, to a few minutes.
